South Korea's President Lee Jae Myung said Donald Trump wants to shift his focus to North Korea following the US-Iran deal. Lee met Trump at the G7 summit in France.

Lee told reporters in Seoul that Trump believes it's time to address the North Korea issue, but the South Korean leader disagreed, saying sanctions against Pyongyang are 'ineffective'.

Lee cited military cooperation between North Korea and Russia as a reason for the diminished effectiveness of sanctions.

Hours after announcing the Iran deal, Trump posted a photo of himself with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, sparking speculation that the US could next target North Korea.
