A US Coast Guard helicopter has crashed in Alaska's Sitka, leaving four crew members injured. The MH-60 Jayhawk chopper went down in a sparsely populated area near Harbor Mountain, with the crew members rushed to the nearby Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, with Rear Adm. Bob Little, commander of the Coast Guard's Arctic District, expressing relief that the crew members survived with minor injuries.

First responders and search and rescue assets were quickly deployed to the scene, with the US Coast Guard confirming that no one died in the tragic crash.
