A three-year manhunt has finally ended with the arrest of Gaurav Kumar, 27, accused of murdering a senior journalist and his mother in Punjab's Mohali in 2017. Kumar was working as a security manager in a Noida residential society, where he was apprehended on November 6. He had been hiding in Noida for years, having been released on bail during the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequently declared a proclaimed offender. Kumar's arrest marks the 121st such instance in the past four months, according to the Mohali police. The police had been tracking him for several months, aided by human intelligence and technical surveillance.
