Union Home Minister Amit Shah accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD's Tejashwi Yadav of aiming to turn Bihar's Seemanchal region into a hub for illegal immigrants. Speaking at election rallies in Purnea and Katihar, Shah vowed that the Centre will identify and deport every unauthorized immigrant, ensuring their names are removed from electoral rolls. Shah claimed that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is on track to secure over 160 seats in the 243-member Bihar Assembly, pointing to the first phase of polls on November 6 as evidence that half the state has rejected the Congress-RJD alliance. In a scathing attack on the opposition, Shah said RJD leader Lalu Prasad and Congress leader Sonia Gandhi are more concerned with protecting their sons, Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi, rather than addressing the state's issues. He also took a swipe at Tejashwi, saying that while the RJD leader may think Prime Minister Narendra Modi can't match his father's achievements, the truth is that Lalu Yadav's legacy is marred by multiple scams.
