A speeding BEST bus in Mumbai collided with multiple vehicles during rush hour, resulting in one fatality and three injuries on Monday.
The bus, operated by the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST), lost control near Plaza Cinema at 9:30 am and hit two cars, a cab, and two motorbikes.
Two motorbike riders, the bus conductor, and another person were injured and taken to Sion Hospital.
The deceased has been identified as a 22-year-old man, while the injured include Rishabh Gupta (25), Satish Waghmare (48), and Mahesh Doiphode (50).
The bus driver was detained by the police, and traffic movement in the area was slowed due to the rescue operation and subsequent traffic diversion.
