Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins suffered a concussion in the fourth quarter of Sunday's Week 12 game against the New England Patriots. The injury occurred when Higgins jumped for a deep pass and landed hard on his head and neck, prompting immediate medical attention. Higgins, 26, had recorded five catches for 31 yards before exiting the game. This season, he has 40 receptions for 575 yards and seven touchdowns across 11 games. The Bengals (3-8) face a short week as they prepare to visit the Baltimore Ravens on Thanksgiving night. Higgins must clear the NFL's concussion protocol to be eligible to play. Sports doctor Dr. David J. Chao has offered insight into Higgins' likely availability. In a statement, Chao expressed concerns that Higgins may not play on Thursday night due to the concussion. However, he expects both quarterback Joe Burrow and wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase to return to the field for Cincinnati. The Bengals played Sunday without Ja'Marr Chase, who served a one-game suspension for spitting on Steelers defensive back Jalen Ramsey in Week 11.
