It's a title race like no other in the Indian Super League (ISL) as Mumbai City FC takes the lead, knocking Mohun Bagan Super Giant off their perch. The 1-0 win has given Mumbai City FC the honour of heading into the international break in pole position.

Head coach Petr Kratky praised his team's spirit, belief, and determination, saying it was a special feeling to knock Mohun Bagan off their perch, especially in a season where City Football Group exited and players had to take pay cuts.

Mohun Bagan's defeat means they blew a chance to put clear water between them and the rest, and now they are in a fight, on the same points as Jamshedpur FC whom they play next, said head coach Sergio Lobera.

The ISL title race is heating up, with three points separating the first and the fifth teams, and four between the toppers and FC Goa who are sixth. The bottom half is also tight, with a mere five points between the ninth and the 14th teams.

Other news includes the appointment of Pep Muñoz as the head coach of Odisha FC, replacing Renedy Singh, and the surprise win of Odisha FC over NorthEast United away.

Amelia Valverde's report on the senior women's team set-up has been met with criticism, with some questioning her appointment and the need for a sports psychologist to work with the team.
