NASCAR driver Kyle Busch, 41, has passed away after being hospitalized with a serious illness. The family and NASCAR have released a joint statement confirming his death, but the cause remains undisclosed.

Busch had been dealing with a sinus cold that worsened due to temperature changes in his cockpit during a recent race at Watkins Glen. He called for medical aid and received an injection on the track.

Just before his hospitalization, Busch's wife posted an update stating he had a severe illness. The two-time NASCAR champion missed the NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 due to illness and hospitalization.

NASCAR and the Busch family are 'devastated' by his sudden passing, calling him a 'rare talent' and a 'future Hall of Famer.' A video of the Watkins Glen incident has resurfaced, showing Busch's struggle with a cough and his request for medical attention.
