Cristiano Ronaldo has been named to his record sixth World Cup roster as Portugal's manager Roberto Martinez announced the team's squad for the 2026 edition. The 41-year-old forward, who currently plays for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, has been a consistent presence in the tournament, helping Portugal reach the semifinals in 2006 and scoring eight goals in the process.

Ronaldo is fifth all-time in World Cup games played with 22 and has become the first player to score a goal in five different World Cups. He will be joined by fellow experienced players like Manchester City's Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva, as well as four players from Paris Saint-Germain: Nuno Mendes, Joao Neves, Goncalo Ramos, and Vitinha.

Portugal will open the tournament in Group K with a pair of games at Houston: June 17 vs. Congo DR and June 23 vs. Uzbekistan. They will also face Colombia at Miami on June 27.
