Former University of South Carolina quarterback Steve Taneyhill has passed away at the age of 52, leaving behind a legacy that transformed the Gamecocks' football program. After retiring from football, Taneyhill remained connected to the sport and his community. He had a successful coaching career, guiding young players to several state titles, and also owned and operated popular local bars in the Columbia area.
