Hojagiri Festival 2023: Administrative Preparations Underway for the 31st State Level

In a significant administrative preparatory review meeting held on Tuesday at the PRTI Conference Hall in Ambassa Dhalai District for the upcoming 31st State Level Hojagiri Festival in 2023 key dignitaries graced the event with their presence. The meeting chaired by Tripura's Hon'ble MLA Pramod Reang, attended by Hon'ble MLA Chitta Ranjan Debbarma, Nandita Debbarma Reang, Hon'ble MLA Paul Dangshu, Hon'ble MLA Bhumika Nanda Reang, Hon'ble MDC, as well as BSCO Central leaders and representatives from various line departments showcased the government's commitment to making this cultural extravaganza a grand success.

The Hojagiri Festival celebrated primarily by the Reang tribe, is known for its captivating folk dance performances. These dances an integral part of the festival are performed during Laxmi Puja, which takes place on the full moon night following Durga Puja. The festival not only highlights the rich cultural heritage of the Reang community but also provides a platform for fostering unity and celebrating diversity among the people of Tripura.

Tripura's Tribal Minister Bikash Debbarma expressed his optimism for the upcoming program emphasizing the importance of collective efforts and divine guidance. He stated, "We believe that the forthcoming 31st State Level Hojagiri Festival will be a resounding success and we hope that the blessings of the Almighty will shower upon the committee and the participants".
