The Attari Border hosted a historic event as A.R. Rahman performed live for the first time, part of the Beating Retreat ceremony. The event, Jai Ho – A Musical Salute to the Bravehearts, promoted Imtiaz Ali's upcoming film Main Vaapas Aaunga.
The evening drew thousands to the JCP Stadium, honouring the bravery and sacrifice of BSF personnel. Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali welcomed the audience, thanking the BSF and dedicating the film's music album to India's armed forces.
A.R. Rahman's musical performance included Chanda Suraj Lakhon Taare, songs from Main Vaapas Aaunga, and his iconic Maa Tujhe Salaam. Imtiaz Ali spoke about the setting's connection to the film's message, highlighting the spirit of solidarity and love that binds the nation.
Main Vaapas Aaunga stars Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Sharvari, and Vedang Raina, with music by A.R. Rahman and lyrics by Irshad Kamil. The film is set to release on June 12, 2026.
