Actor Mona Singh is set to star in Prime Video's upcoming show Maa Ka Sum, where she plays Vinita, a modern single mother navigating love and self-discovery. In a rare portrayal, Vinita is open to dating and figuring things out on her own terms.
Mona Singh spoke about the show's unique concept, saying that it's essential for younger audiences to see their mothers as individuals with their own dreams, emotions, and life beyond parenting.
The show, directed by Nicholas Kharkongor and written by Ravinder Randhawa and Sumrit Shahi, also stars Mihir Ahuja, Angira Dhar, and Ranveer Brar in the lead roles. Maa Ka Sum will premiere on Prime Video on April 3.
