An Indian man's viral video has ignited a debate on social media after he alleged a Canadian woman hurled a racial slur at him during a driving dispute.

The driver, Lovepreet Singh, claimed the woman told him to 'go back to India' before he pulled out his phone and started recording.

However, a social media account claiming to be the woman denied the allegations of racism, saying Singh had aggressively confronted her first.

Singh urged fellow Indian expats in Canada to stand up against such abuse, but a few people questioned the incident, with one person suggesting Singh may have been at fault for almost hitting the woman.
