Several Indian curriculum schools in the UAE have announced an early end-of-year break for students. The decision was made after schools revised their academic calendars to ensure exams and results are completed on time.

According to the Khaleej Times, headteachers at Indian curriculum schools assured parents and students that education continuity will not be compromised despite the changes.

Abhilasha Singh, Principal of Shining Star International School in Abu Dhabi, said exams concluded on March 6, with teachers continuing to work remotely to compile and finalize results.

The UAE's Ministry of Education and Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced a spring break for students and staff from March 9 to 22, 2026. Classes will resume on March 23.

Due to the ongoing war situation in the Middle East, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed exams in several countries, including the UAE, for the fourth time.
