Al Falah University's Vice Chancellor, Bhupinder Kaur, has issued a statement categorically denying any connection between the institution and the doctors arrested in connection with the recent Delhi Red Fort blast and a terror module busted in Faridabad. The university was put under scrutiny after the Delhi blast that claimed at least 10 lives and the subsequent bust of the terror module in Faridabad. Kaur stated that the institution is 'anguished' by the unfortunate events and condemns them. Two doctors employed by the university have been detained by investigating agencies. However, Kaur clarified that the university has no connection with the individuals apart from their official capacity as doctors. In response to allegations that the university was storing chemicals, Kaur denied the claims, stating that no such materials are stored on campus premises. The university's laboratories are used solely for academic purposes, and the institution is cooperating fully with the security agencies to investigate the Delhi Red Fort blast and the explosive material found in a rented home of a university doctor. Security agencies have uncovered a 'white-collar terror network' spanning Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, with the arrest of seven individuals, including two doctors, and the recovery of nearly 2,900 kilograms of explosives and inflammable materials. The investigation has revealed links to the proscribed Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH), with foreign handlers operating from Pakistan and other Gulf countries. The operation, conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Haryana Police, resulted in one of the largest seizures of explosives in recent years. The university has assured its full cooperation with the authorities to enable them to arrive at a logical and conclusive determination in the matter pertaining to national security.
