Exit polls for the Bihar assembly elections have revealed a clear advantage for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), with several pollsters predicting a landslide victory for the alliance. According to Chanakya and Axis My India, the BJP-JD(U) alliance is expected to secure between 121-141 and 160 seats, respectively. However, a silver lining for the opposition RJD-led Mahagathbandhan emerged in the form of Tejashwi Yadav, the young leader of the party, who has gained more support as the preferred Chief Minister of Bihar. Two pollsters, Peoples Pulse and Axis My India, have shown that Tejashwi enjoys a higher approval rating than incumbent Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, with 34% and 32% support, respectively. This unexpected result has left many surprised, given that most pollsters have projected the NDA to emerge victorious. Axis My India has predicted a comfortable lead for the NDA with 121-141 seats, while Mahagathbandhan is expected to secure 98-118 seats. Peoples Pulse has also shown a clean sweep for the NDA with 133-159 seats, but Tejashwi's camp is expected to get 75-101 seats. The election has also seen a disappointing performance from the Jan Suraaj Party, led by former strategist Prashant Kishor, which is projected to get a maximum of five seats. Voting concluded on November 6 and 11, and the results are scheduled to be announced on November 14.
