In the aftermath of a resounding victory in Bihar's state assembly elections, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is moving swiftly to form a new government. Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) chief Chirag Paswan met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday, signaling the coalition's eagerness to take the reins of power. Paswan's visit marked the first public appearance of Kumar since the election results were announced on Friday. The JD(U) president, 74, is set to continue as Chief Minister, with Paswan expressing support for his leadership. "We are looking forward to joining the government," Paswan said, adding that his party's participation would bring a fresh perspective to the state's governance. The LJP(RV) won 19 of the 28 seats it contested, a significant improvement from its previous performance. Paswan attributed this gain to the party's efforts to engage with voters and address their concerns. "We used to say we supported the government but were not part of it," he said, "but now, we have a chance to make a difference.\
