The Election Commission of India has hailed the Bihar assembly polls as its 'best-ever performance', according to officials. This assessment comes as the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) takes a significant lead in the election count. The polling body has also claimed that there were no complaints following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter rolls, a move that sparked controversy among opposition parties. The Congress party, however, has blamed the Election Commission and the SIR process for its disappointing performance, securing only six seats in the 243-member assembly. Congress leader Pawan Khera accused the EC of attempting to influence the election outcome, saying, 'Gyanesh Kumar is writing a new chapter in the book 'To Serve with Love' – this time for Prime Minister Modi'.
