The BJP has criticized Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for his comments on the recent car explosion near Delhi's Red Fort, calling them 'irresponsible' and 'insensitive.' State BJP chief BY Vijayendra accused the Congress of echoing its 'anti-national legacy' and using the incident for political gain. He claimed that the party's remarks after the 2019 Pulwama attack aided Pakistan's propaganda efforts. Vijayendra recalled that the Opposition had previously refrained from politicizing national security, citing the UPA's tenure from 2004 to 2014. He accused the Congress of treating national security and public tragedies as political tools. The BJP leader also accused the ruling Congress of diverting attention from alleged 'administrative failures' and 'widespread corruption.' The blast, which killed at least 10 people and injured 20, is under investigation. Meanwhile, rural development minister Priyank Kharge launched a counterattack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of shirking responsibility and being accountable only to himself.
