In a move to maintain party discipline, the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Bihar unit has suspended two senior leaders, former union minister R K Singh and BJP MLC Ashok Agarwal, for engaging in anti-party activities. The action comes a day after the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) secured a decisive victory in the Bihar elections. According to sources, Singh, a former BJP MP from Ara, faced complaints of involvement in cross-party activities during and after the election campaign. Insiders revealed that he made serious allegations against top BJP leaders, prompting the party to take swift action. Agarwal's son had contested the Katihar seat on a Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) ticket, further fueling concerns about his loyalty to the BJP. The party has given both leaders a week to clarify their stance, underscoring its commitment to maintaining party unity and adhering to its core values.
