Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) Terminal 3 was evacuated on Wednesday after a bomb scare was reported, sparking a security alert across multiple airports in the city. The incident occurred at around 4 pm when an email threatening a bomb was received on IndiGo's grievance portal, mentioning several airports including Delhi, Chennai, and Goa. The Delhi Police quickly investigated the scene and ruled out the bomb scare as a hoax. As a precautionary measure, security checks were conducted at all the mentioned locations. In a separate incident, an Air India Express flight to Varanasi received a bomb threat, prompting the airline to alert the government-appointed Bomb Threat Assessment Committee. The flight was safely landed, and all passengers were disembarked. The security alert comes amid heightened tensions in Delhi following the Red Fort car blast on Monday evening that killed at least 10 people. While the cause of the blast remains unknown, investigators have found terror links to the owner of the i20 that exploded near the Lal Quila Metro Station. The authorities are taking all necessary measures to ensure public safety, and security checks are ongoing across the city and other parts of the country.
