In a shocking incident in Chhattisgarh's Jashpur, a 43-year-old woman has been accused of killing her husband and stuffing his body into a bag. According to the police, Mangrita Bhagat had been quarreling with her husband, Santosh, for some time, and the dispute escalated on November 7. The next day, their daughter received a disturbing call from Mangrita, confessing to the crime. The police investigation revealed that Mangrita had covered her husband's body with a blanket and stuffed it into a trolley bag. A preliminary post-mortem report confirmed that Santosh died due to a fatal blow to the temple, likely inflicted with a sharp-edged weapon. Mangrita, who used to work in Mumbai and had returned to the village a few months ago, is currently absconding. The police have launched a search for her and have also dispatched a team to Maharashtra to trace her. The case has sent shockwaves in the community, highlighting the dangers of marital disputes turning violent. This incident is not an isolated case, as a similar incident was reported in Gujarat's Ahmedabad, where a woman allegedly killed her husband and buried his body beneath the kitchen floor. The police exhumed the remains after a year-long investigation, and the woman's lover and two relatives have been arrested in connection with the crime.
