Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini marks one year in office, reflecting on his government's achievements and plans for the future. In an exclusive interview, Saini highlights his administration's commitment to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision, focusing on transparency, good governance, and delivery. One of the key milestones is the completion of 47 manifesto promises, with 158 more in progress. The government has created 180,000 jobs, with 34,000 in the past year alone, and has launched several initiatives to support women, such as the Lado Lakshmi Yojana. The scheme aims to empower women socially and economically, with over 522,000 beneficiaries and a target of creating 500,000 Lakhpati Didis. On law and order, Saini emphasizes the state's zero-tolerance policy towards crime, with modern policing and technology-enabled investigation. The recent terror module bust is cited as an example of effective inter-state coordination between Haryana, Delhi, and Jammu and Kashmir. To address concerns about unemployment, the government is investing in skill development programs, with over 113,000 young people trained and 120,000 secured jobs through the Haryana Kaushal Rojgar Nigam. Saini also announced free dialysis services in all government hospitals, a move aimed at providing relief to patients with kidney disease. As Haryana transforms into a logistics and manufacturing hub, the government is prioritizing environmental safeguards. The state has made significant progress in waste management, with 77% of daily solid waste scientifically processed, and plans to establish 13 integrated waste plants. The Drone Didi initiative, launched under the Namo scheme, is empowering women to operate agricultural drones and offer rental services to farmers. The government aims to provide more self-help groups with drones and specialized training, enabling women to earn a sustainable income. Looking ahead, Saini envisions Haryana as the "non-stop life force" of Viksit Bharat, globally competitive, inclusive, and sustainable. The state's long-term vision focuses on six pillars: sustainable finance, future-focused education, skill and employment, healthcare, agriculture, smart infrastructure, and balanced regional growth.
