Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has reacted to the National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) landslide victory in the Bihar assembly elections, describing the outcome as 'truly surprising.' Gandhi expressed gratitude to voters who supported the Mahagathbandhan, but conceded that his party could not secure victory due to an unfair electoral process. The Congress party won only 6 seats out of the 61 it contested. In a statement on X, Gandhi emphasized the need to protect the Constitution and democracy, stating that the party and the opposition alliance will thoroughly review the election outcome and strengthen their efforts to safeguard democracy. The Congress party has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and the Election Commission of masterminding a massive vote manipulation scheme, dubbed 'vote chori on a gigantic scale.' Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge echoed Gandhi's sentiments, stating that while the party respects the people's decision in Bihar, it will continue to fight against forces that weaken democracy by misusing constitutional institutions. The party has pledged to conduct a thorough analysis of the election results and present a detailed perspective on the reasons behind the outcomes.
