The Al Falah University in Faridabad has found itself at the center of a high-stakes investigation following the recent Delhi Red Fort car blast. At least 10 people lost their lives, and several others were injured, in the high-intensity explosion that shook the city on Monday evening. The Delhi Police and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) are now scrutinizing the university's management and financial dealings, which have raised suspicions about its possible links to the terror module. Dr. Umar Nabi, the prime suspect in the Delhi blast case, has ties to the institution, sparking concerns about the university's role in the alleged plot. The university's director, Javed Ahmed Siddiqui, has a history of controversy. He was arrested in 2000 for allegedly misappropriating ₹7.5 crore from investors through fake investment firms. Siddiqui was accused of operating shell companies under the Al-Falah banner, which were used to lure investors into fake schemes. He was jailed for three years before being acquitted in 2005.In a recent raid, the NIA and Delhi Police teams seized land documents and financial files from the university's Okhla premises. They are investigating whether any of the old firms or trust accounts were used to fund the accused doctors' activities. A spokesperson for the university has denied any involvement in the terror plot, stating that the campus was not used for any funding or experiment linked to terrorism.
