In a major breakthrough, the Delhi Police has apprehended two alleged members of the notorious Pardi gang, wanted in over 60 cases across several states. Arun Pardi (37) and Tega Pardi (40), both carrying ₹10,000 rewards for their capture, were arrested at Shahabad railway station in Dwarka on November 14. The operation was triggered by a recent surge in nighttime burglaries in Neb Sarai, Hauz Khas, and Malviya Nagar, with suspicions pointing to the Pardi gang's involvement. During interrogation, the accused revealed that they operate as an organised inter-state gang, specialising in house break-ins, robberies, and dacoities. They exploit their mobility by selling small items during the day and conducting reconnaissance, before striking at night, armed with slingshots and stones. The duo's extensive criminal records include murder, attempt to murder, armed robbery, and burglaries in multiple districts of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Gujarat. Following the completion of legal formalities, Arun and Tega were handed over to the Madhya Pradesh Police for further investigation.
