A devastating blast at the Red Fort in Delhi has left at least 10 people dead and many more feared to be among the injured. The death toll is expected to rise as hospital officials struggle to identify the human remains brought to Lok Nayak Hospital. DNA testing is required to determine the identities of the victims, with eight of the deceased already identified. The blast victims, mostly with burn injuries, have been rushed to the hospital's 70-bed disaster ward. Dr. Ritu Saxena, deputy medical superintendent, said that over 50 doctors are treating the patients, who also suffered from amputated limbs, shrapnel wounds, broken bones, and head injuries. Hospital officials reported that 25 people are currently undergoing treatment, with police bringing in amputated body parts, including limbs, tongue, and teeth. The hospital is working to address the complex challenge of identifying the victims, much like the aftermath of the Air India plane crash. As the city remains on high alert, authorities have heightened security measures in key areas, including the National Capital Region (NCR). The investigation into the blast is ongoing, with officials working to piece together the events surrounding the tragedy.
