A devastating explosion near India's iconic Red Fort in Delhi on Monday evening claimed 13 lives and injured over 20. The blast has been linked to a Hyundai i20 car, which has been traced back to Dr Umar-un-Nabi, a Kashmir-based doctor. Investigations are underway to determine Dr Umar's role in the blast, with police suspecting him to be behind the wheel of the vehicle. Following the blast, police conducted overnight raids in Jammu and Kashmir, arresting six people, including three family members of Dr Umar. The arrests were part of a larger investigation into the Faridabad terror module, which was busted earlier, revealing a massive cache of explosives. The Hyundai i20 car was bought by Dr Umar, who had been missing since the investigation into the Faridabad terror module began. Forensic experts are examining samples collected from the blast site, where human remains were found inside the vehicle. Police said tracing the car's ownership was key to uncovering the connection to the Faridabad module. Dr Umar's connection to the Faridabad module is significant, as he is believed to have been in contact with two other doctors from Kashmir, who were arrested in connection with the module. A senior police official stated that a person linked to the Faridabad module was suspected to have been traveling in the Hyundai i20 car, which is now a crucial piece of evidence in the investigation. The police have also found that Dr Umar and one of the arrested doctors, Dr Muzammil, are from the same village in south Kashmir's Pulwama district. The investigation is ongoing, with police working to piece together the events leading up to the blast.
