India is experiencing a cold wave, with several states issuing alerts and warnings for below-average temperatures. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted severe cold wave conditions in parts of West Madhya Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Marathawada, Telangana, and Vidarbha from November 18-20. According to the IMD, minimum temperatures are expected to range from 7-10 degrees Celsius in several areas across Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Chandigarh, and northern Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu and Kerala can expect light to moderate rainfall along with thunderstorms over the next few days. A yellow alert has been issued for Chennai due to light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms. In Telangana, five districts - Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Nirmal, and Adilabad - have been issued a yellow alert for a cold wave. The Met Centre has warned of severe cold wave conditions in these districts on November 18. Maharashtra has also issued a yellow alert for cold wave conditions in Bhandara, Yavatmal, and Gondia. However, no warnings have been issued in Mumbai or Pune. Delhi is expected to experience partly cloudy skies, mist, or shallow fog during the morning hours on Tuesday, with minimum temperatures ranging from 9-11 degrees Celsius. The city may receive light rain in the coming days, which could lead to colder early mornings. Skymet's Mahesh Palawat predicts that the mercury will drop further once Delhi receives rainfall, saying, 'Till it rains, the day temperature will not fall. After rain, temperatures will dip more rapidly.'
