India has forcefully rejected Pakistan's accusations of involvement in the recent Islamabad suicide bombing, labeling them 'desperate and diversionary'. Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had claimed that India was behind the attack, alleging that it was aimed at destabilizing the country. However, India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal called these allegations 'baseless and unfounded', adding that they were a predictable tactic from the Pakistani leadership. The allegations came despite the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claiming responsibility for the attack, which killed 12 people. Sharif also linked the Islamabad blast to another attack in Wana, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which Pakistani officials had attributed to the banned TTP. Sharif accused India of backing the attacks from Afghan soil, but provided no evidence to support his claims. India maintains that these accusations are a desperate attempt to shift the focus away from Pakistan's internal security issues.
