The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Nepal's Armed Police Force (APF) will hold their annual border talks in India from November 12 to 14. This meeting comes after violent protests in Kathmandu in September, which were driven by the 'Gen Z' generation. The talks aim to strengthen cooperation on trans-border crimes, real-time intelligence sharing, and coordinated border management. Led by SSB Director General Sanjay Singhal and APF Inspector General Raju Aryal, the meeting will focus on developing effective mechanisms to prevent crimes and ensure peace along the Indo-Nepal frontier. The last such meeting was held in November 2024, and the SSB guards the 1,751-km long unfenced border with Nepal, as well as the 699-km long India-Bhutan border.
