India's Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has reassured the country's preparedness for any nuclear situation. Singh's comments come after US President Donald Trump alleged that Pakistan has been secretly conducting nuclear tests. Trump's remarks have renewed concerns, but Singh remained unfazed, saying India won't be deterred by such reports. Singh's statement follows Trump's announcement that the US will resume nuclear testing after a 30-year hiatus. Trump cited recent tests by 'other countries' as the reason for the decision, naming Pakistan as an example. The US President claimed that Islamabad continues to carry out nuclear tests. In response, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs characterized Pakistan's nuclear activities as 'clandestine and illegal.' The MEA spokesperson pointed out that Pakistan's history of smuggling and secret partnerships highlights its questionable nuclear record. Pakistan has dismissed Trump's assertion, insisting that it maintains a unilateral moratorium on nuclear testing. Islamabad has reaffirmed its commitment to restraint, despite not being a signatory to the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT). When asked if India would follow suit if Pakistan goes ahead with a test, Singh replied, 'Let's first see if they do it.' The defence minister reiterated that India is prepared to face any eventuality, leaving no room for doubt about the country's readiness to handle any situation that may arise.
