Indian Youth Leaders Unveil AI-Powered Sustainability Solutions at UN Summit

At the 1M1B Impact Summit in Geneva, 28 young Indian innovators showcased their groundbreaking projects addressing global sustainability and climate change. The summit, held at the United Nations, focused on empowering youth with green skills and climate diplomacy. Keynote speaker Tatiana Valovaya, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva, emphasized the importance of youth-led innovation in advancing global sustainability. The summit highlighted 30 projects from around the world, with 28 of them from India. These projects, focusing on AI, climate resilience, health, education, clean water, and circular economy, demonstrated the breadth of innovation in India. Initiatives such as 'NIRI', 'Bhoomi', and 'Khlore' showcased water conservation, affordable smart soil testing, and sustainable fashion, respectively. Other projects, including 'Unboxed' and 'Bloom', focused on reducing packaging waste and empowering adolescent girls through menstrual health education. Ambassador Muhammadou M O Kah praised the young innovators, stating that they are 'charting the path toward a just, sustainable, and inclusive future.' The summit also marked the launch of the 'Youth Climate Diplomacy Program', a global initiative aimed at accelerating climate action and equipping youth to represent India at international forums. Founder Manav Subodh emphasized the growing role of youth in tackling climate change, saying that these innovators 'represent India's new generation - young innovators solving global challenges and showcasing India's soft power while advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals.'
