The investigation into the Faridabad terror module has taken a significant turn with the arrest of Dr. Shaheen Sayeed, a Kashmiri doctor allegedly linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed's (JeM) women recruitment wing in India. According to officials, Sayeed was part of Jamaat-ul-Mominaat, a newly formed organization launched by JeM last month. Sayeed, in her mid-30s, was taken into custody on Monday and is believed to have been in touch with her handler in Pakistan. She had instructions to recruit more women for terror activities, officials said. Jamaat-ul-Mominaat was formed after JeM decided to establish a women's unit, with Sadiya Azhar, wife of Yusuf Azhar, as its chief. The probe has uncovered a link between the Faridabad terror module and the Delhi Red Fort blast. Authorities have expressed concerns that JeM is following the ISI's policy of recruiting female attackers, similar to groups like ISIS. This has highlighted the need for intensified surveillance on educational institutions, particularly private schools in Jammu and Kashmir, where radical ideologies are allegedly being spread among young minds, especially female students. The authorities have intensified their probe into the inter-state terror module, which has resulted in eight arrests so far. The recovery of explosives, inflammable material, and arms from two rented rooms in Faridabad has led to a wider investigation in states including Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh. The development has raised concerns about the influence of ISI in radicalizing young minds, particularly females, in Jammu and Kashmir.
