Speculation is rife in Karnataka's Congress-led government regarding a possible cabinet reshuffle, with several MLAs openly expressing their desire to join the state cabinet. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is set to meet with Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge in New Delhi on Monday, with discussions on a cabinet reshuffle reportedly on the agenda. The Karnataka cabinet has an allowance for 34 ministers, with two positions currently vacant following the resignation of B Nagendra and the removal of KN Rajanna. Several MLAs, including Hungund Congress MLA Vijayanand Kashappanavar and Hubballi-Dharwad East MLA Abbayya Prasad, have publicly expressed their ambitions for a ministerial role. Kashappanavar met with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah before his departure for New Delhi, stating that he is confident the CM will consider his request for a ministerial position.
