The Karnataka Congress government is facing uncertainty as top leaders visit New Delhi, sparking rumors of a leadership change and cabinet reshuffle. While senior ministers and party officials claim no shifts are planned, they offered contradictory signals on Sunday. Home Minister G Parameshwara hinted at a cabinet reshuffle, but Chief Minister Siddaramaiah denied any discussion on the matter. The speculation comes after Siddaramaiah met with Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi, which party insiders say may have included cabinet discussions. Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar stated that he had no information about the meeting. Despite public denials, sources within the party acknowledge growing pressure for change. With the winter session set to begin on December 8, the government has one vacant cabinet position, and party leaders are considering replacing up to 12 ministers. Insiders named several legislators as potential contenders for ministerial positions, including N A Harris, Rizwan Arshad, and Belur Gopalakrishna. The possibility of a reshuffle has added strain to the party's internal dynamics, with the Shivakumar camp reportedly wary of changes that may sideline his supporters. Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi called for the party leadership to clarify the ongoing speculation, stating that decisions on cabinet expansion and leadership would be made by the high command.
