Lucknow Police have registered a case against a group of unidentified individuals for allegedly chasing and threatening a local journalist, Mukesh Dwivedi, on Thursday evening. According to Dwivedi's complaint, he and fellow journalist Himanshu Rawat were traveling in an SUV when three other vehicles attempted to ram into their vehicle. The attackers allegedly hurled abuses and threatened to kill Dwivedi, prompting him to drive into his plot and call for help. The situation escalated when the attackers allegedly fired at people, although police have denied this claim. Based on Dwivedi's complaint, a case was registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including attempt to murder and criminal intimidation. Mohanlalganj Station House Officer Dilesh Kumar Singh stated that the incident is being investigated and no arrests have been made so far. Singh attributed the incident to a possible case of personal enmity, contradicting Dwivedi's claim of a targeted attack. The police investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
