Mumbai's transportation woes continue as hundreds of auto-rickshaws and taxis remain off the roads for the third consecutive day due to a disruption in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) supply. Drivers have been left with no choice but to exhaust their remaining fuel after the damage to the Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) pipeline on Sunday. As a result, long queues of over a kilometre have formed outside CNG stations in various parts of the city. According to estimates, over 90% of the 280,000 autos and 25,000 taxis remained off the roads on Monday, leaving commuters with limited options. Aggregator cab prices have surged, causing inconvenience to office-goers and students. "I've exhausted my CNG and have been queuing up since early morning," said Pankaj Mishra, an auto-rickshaw driver from Borivali. "I'm hoping to get it filled soon.
