Air India's flight AI129 to London faced a significant delay on Saturday, leaving passengers stranded for nearly seven hours. The flight, initially scheduled to take off from Mumbai airport at 6:30 am, was rescheduled to 1 pm due to technical issues. Passengers were provided with refreshments during the wait. This incident comes on the heels of a major technical glitch at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International airport on Friday, which caused over 800 flight delays and 20 cancellations. The Automatic Message Switching System (AMSS) failure led to a disruption in flight plan data transmission, causing widespread delays. Although airport operations resumed on Friday evening, passengers expressed frustration with the repeated malfunctions at IGI airport, which handles over 1,500 flights daily. The recent incidents have raised questions about the airport's efficiency and whether it meets international standards.
