In a significant projection, Axis My India's exit poll on Wednesday foresees a commanding victory for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar, securing 121 to 141 seats. In contrast, the Tejashwi Yadav-led Mahagathbandhan is expected to trail behind with 98 to 118 seats. However, the post-poll survey reveals a surprising twist - Tejashwi Yadav emerges as the top choice to become the chief minister of Bihar, where voting concluded on Tuesday. According to the pollster, the NDA is likely to receive 43% of the votes, while the Mahagathbandhan is projected to secure 41%. Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj, making its electoral debut, is expected to garner 4% of the votes. The exit poll also highlights that Tejashwi Yadav enjoys the highest level of approval among voters at 34%, followed by Nitish Kumar at 22%, and 'any candidate from BJP' at 14%. Axis My India's party-wise projection provides a detailed breakdown of the possible seat distribution: NDA (121-141 seats): - BJP: 50-56 seats - JD(U): 56-62 seats - LJP (RV): 11-16 seats - HAM(S): 2-3 seats - RLM: 2-4 seats Mahagathbandhan (98-118 seats): - RJD: 67-76 seats - Congress: 17-21 seats - VIP: 3-5 seats - CPI (ML)L: 10-14 seats - CPI: 1-3 seats - CPI (M): 0-1 seat Meanwhile, both the Jan Suraaj Party and Asaduddin Owaisi's AIMIM are projected to secure 0-2 seats each. This latest projection comes a day after multiple exit polls predicted a significant win for the NDA government in Bihar, with Prashant Kishor's party expected to underperform. The Bihar polls were conducted in two phases on November 6 and 11, with the results set to be announced on November 14. Other exit polls, including Matrize Exit Poll, Dainik Bhaskar, and People's Insight, have also forecast a strong NDA performance, with varying seat projections.
