A 32-year-old man from Noida has been arrested for beheading a 33-year-old woman and dumping her body in a drain along the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. The suspect, Monu Singh, has claimed that the victim, Preeti, was pressuring him for money she had loaned him and threatened to engage his daughters in the flesh trade if he didn't comply. According to police, Singh was in a long-term extramarital affair with Preeti, who was separated from her husband and lived in the same building with her two kids. Singh claimed that Preeti was demanding Rs. 2 lakh in return for the loan and was pressuring him to leave his wife. He also suspected that Preeti was in a relationship with someone else. The police investigation revealed that Singh had hidden a butcher's knife in a bus and cut off Preeti's neck during a fight. He also cut off her hands to prevent identification through fingerprints. Singh has been charged with murder and causing the disappearance of evidence. The case highlights the tragic consequences of a failed relationship and the desperation that can drive individuals to commit heinous crimes. Preeti, a resident of Noida Sector 39, was identified through forensic analysis after her headless body was found in the drain.
