Panipat Police Foil Robbery, Arrest 2 with Guns in Midnight Encounter

In a tense midnight encounter, Panipat police apprehended two suspects involved in a brazen robbery and firing incident. Sandeep, Naveen, and Deepak, who were attempting to flee on a motorcycle, opened fire at the police near Jawara Shahpur road in Jind district. However, the police managed to overpower them, leaving the suspects injured in their legs. The suspects were taken to PGI Khanpur for treatment and are reportedly in stable condition. The police have registered a new FIR against the trio, who are also linked to a recent temple burglary in Noida. According to the FIR filed by Rajwanti, the wife of Suresh, the suspects broke into their house in Vikas Nagar, Panipat, and made off with Rs. 3 lakhs, a gold chain, and silver anklets. The robbers allegedly opened fire indiscriminately on the family. The police have recovered three illegal pistols and six live cartridges from the scene, marking a significant breakthrough in the case. Further investigation is underway to apprehend the remaining suspects.
