Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a tough stance against the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) at an election rally in Sitamarhi, Bihar, ahead of the second phase of Assembly elections on November 11. Modi criticized the RJD, saying that their opposition to the ruling NDA would lead to a 'jungle raj' and that their slogan of 'hands up' was no longer relevant in Bihar. He highlighted the NDA's efforts in promoting education and entrepreneurship in the state, with initiatives such as the 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyami Yojana', which has transferred ₹10,000 to over one crore women. Modi also brought up the example of the Punaura Dham project, showcasing the NDA's commitment to preserving Bihar's heritage. The Prime Minister also took aim at the RJD's election campaigns, where children are being used to promote the party's agenda. Modi said that this was a clear indication of the RJD's priorities, which were focused on giving power to their own children rather than working for the welfare of the state. Modi also expressed his delight at the high voter turnout in the first phase of elections, which he said had given a 'big shock' to the opposition. The Sitamarhi constituency, one of the 243 Assembly seats in the state, is set to witness a triangular contest between the BJP, RJD, and the Jan Suraaj Party in the second phase of polling scheduled for November 11.
