In a jibe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday mocked his recent fishing expedition in Bihar, saying some 'big names' were coming to the state to 'practice drowning' in the election. Addressing a rally in Sitamarhi ahead of the Bihar polls' second phase, PM Modi took a veiled swipe at Rahul, saying 'big names' were now diving into the state's waters to catch fish. He was referring to Rahul's recent visit to a fishing pond in Begusarai, where he took a dip in a muddy pond to interact with fishermen. PM Modi also targeted the RJD-led Opposition in Bihar, accusing them of promoting a culture of 'katta sarkar' (a government of goons) if voted to power. He claimed that the Opposition's campaign was filled with 'katta', 'kushasan' (misgovernance), 'kroorta' (cruelty), and corruption, which Bihar didn't want. The PM, who has addressed over a dozen rallies since the election was announced, said the prevailing sentiment in the state was against a 'katta sarkar' and in favor of the NDA government. His remarks come ahead of the second phase of elections in Bihar, scheduled for November 11, with the Opposition using the 64.69% voter turnout in the first phase to target the ruling NDA.
