Poll strategist Prashant Kishor has issued a fresh challenge to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar after his party's dismal performance in the recent Assembly elections. Kishor, whose Jan Suraaj Party won no seats, took responsibility for the loss and acknowledged that his party failed to bring about a change in power. In a bold move, Kishor has given Nitish Kumar an ultimatum. If the CM fulfills his promise of providing ₹2 lakh each to 1.5 crore women in the state, Kishor will quit politics. This challenge is a direct response to Kumar's recent victory, where the JD(U) won 85 out of 101 seats it contested. Kishor has also alleged that the JD(U) bought votes by distributing ₹10,000 to over 60,000 beneficiaries in each constituency. He has called for transparency in the matter, questioning whether it was a vote purchase or a self-employment program. The Bihar Assembly elections saw a stunning victory for the NDA, with the BJP winning 89 seats. The elections were held in two phases, and the results were announced on November 14. The NDA is set to form government in the state again on November 20. Kishor, however, remains optimistic, stating that his party will rectify its mistakes, rebuild, and come back stronger. The challenge issued by Kishor has sparked a debate in the state, with many questioning the authenticity of Kumar's promises.
