Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav Boosts Security for Guru Tegh Bahadur's 350th Martyrdom Anniversary

Punjab's top cop, DGP Gaurav Yadav, visited Anandpur Sahib to review security and traffic plans for the upcoming 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur. The three-day event, scheduled from November 23 to 25, is expected to draw massive crowds from around the world. To ensure the safety and comfort of devotees, over 8,000 police personnel will be deployed, supervised by senior officers. Cutting-edge technology will be utilized, with a high-tech control room set up to monitor entry and exit points using advanced surveillance systems, including automatic number plate recognition, facial recognition cameras, and drones. The area will be divided into 25 sectors, each with its own control room and help desk for efficient management. To facilitate devotees, comprehensive traffic and logistical plans are in place, including shuttle services and smart barricading systems to manage crowd flow. In a collaborative effort with IIT Ropar, real-time digital mapping of parking zones will guide the public and support efficient traffic management. Advanced surveillance grids, intelligent traffic coordination, and robust field supervision mechanisms will be operational to maintain order and facilitate the smooth arrival of devotees from across the nation.
