Rajasthan By-elections: Congress Candidate Pramod Jain Bhaya Takes Early Lead in Anta

In the ongoing Rajasthan by-elections, Congress candidate Pramod Jain Bhaya has taken an early lead in the Anta Assembly constituency. The counting of votes began at 8 am on Friday morning at the Government PG College in Baran district. According to the Election Commission's early trends, Bhaya is currently ahead in the tally. The voting process involves 14 tables set up for the counting, which will unfold over 20 rounds. Postal ballots are being counted first, followed by electronic voting machine votes. The final results are expected by Friday afternoon. The Anta constituency witnessed a voter turnout of 80.21% during the polling held on November 11. The Election Commission will declare the results of bypolls in eight assembly constituencies across six states and the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. Meanwhile, the BJP fielded Morpal Suman in the Anta constituency, while Naresh Meena contested as an independent candidate, making it a triangular fight. The Election Commission will also declare the results of by-elections in other constituencies, including Mizoram's Dampa, Jammu and Kashmir's Nagrota, and Telangana's Jubilee Hills, among others. The voter turnout in these constituencies varied, with Dampa and Anta recording 82.34% and 80.32%, respectively, while Nagrota recorded a turnout of 75.08%. The results of the by-elections are expected to provide insights into the political landscape of these states.
