A key lead in the ongoing investigation into the Red Fort blast has emerged with the discovery of a red Ford EcoSport car linked to one of the prime suspects. Dr Umar Un Nabi, a suspect in the case, owned the vehicle, which was found parked outside a farmhouse in Faridabad's Khandawali village on Wednesday. The car, registered in Delhi, was seized by the Faridabad Police and handed over to the investigating agency for forensic examination. According to officials, the vehicle was traced following intelligence shared by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, which pointed to its presence in Faridabad. A joint team conducted a raid, leading to the car's recovery from the house linked to Dr Nabi's acquaintance. The discovery has raised questions about who had access to the vehicle and under what circumstances it was parked at the farmhouse. The Faridabad Police have said that the acquaintance owner will be questioned by investigators to shed light on these circumstances. The red EcoSport was the subject of an alert issued by the Delhi Police across the National Capital Region, warning that it might have been used for reconnaissance activities. Dr Umar Un Nabi became the focus of the investigation after it emerged that he owned the Hyundai i20 that exploded near the Red Fort on Monday evening. The police had been searching for him and his associates, several of whom are doctors and members of an alleged Jaish-e-Mohammed module. The investigation has led to the seizure of nearly 3,000 kg of explosive material.
