Delhi Police have obtained crucial CCTV footage showing the white Hyundai i20 that exploded near the Red Fort on Monday evening. The vehicle was spotted on a Faridabad street on October 29, the day it was purchased, with three occupants. In the footage, the i20 can be seen driving off with two individuals in the front and the third in the back. The development comes as the investigation into the blast that killed 13 people and injured 21 continues. The car has been linked to Dr. Umar Un Nabi, a resident of Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, who is suspected of having terror connections. Preliminary probe suggests that Dr. Umar was behind the wheel when the vehicle detonated. The i20 was first seen entering Delhi from the Badarpur toll booth at 8:04 am on Monday. Throughout the day, CCTV footage shows the vehicle moving through various areas of central and old Delhi, including Darya Ganj, Kashmere Gate, and Sunehri Masjid. The car remained parked at the Sunehri Masjid parking lot beside the Red Fort for nearly two hours before exiting at 6:45 pm. It took a U-turn near the Old Delhi Railway Station and drove along the Chhata Rail Chowk stretch before slowing down at a traffic signal near the Red Fort Metro Station at 6:52 pm, where the explosion occurred. Delhi Police have invoked stringent provisions under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Explosive Substances Act in connection with the case.
